Required Travel Documents
Visa Requirements ** As of March 2023, the Indian Government is transitioning the visa requirements. We will provide an update once the changes have been fnialized and implemented. If you have questions, please contact Discover Corps.
You will need to obtain two visas for this trip:
India Multiple entry E-Visa.
-A mulitple entry e-visa is required for India as you will be entering India twice during this trip - once upon arrival into New Delhi and once when departing India on your international flight
-We highly recommend applying for this through our visa processing partners G3 Visas & Passports to ensure that you get the visa on time (see here for exact application procedures)
A visa is required for travelers for entry to Bhutan. The cost of the visa is included in the trip fee and is organized by Discover Corps. You will need to provide the following to Discover Corps
-A clear picture of your passport copy with a validity of more than 6 months
-Contact number and home address
-Your profession
-Proof of travel insurance (see more information on travel insurance HERE)
-Recent passport size photograph - 2 x 2 inches (51 x 51 mm)
Passport Requirements
Any international travel requires the use of a passport. If you do not have a passport it is important to apply for one as soon as possible. The current wait time for renewing a passport is up to 16 weeks.
For questions about obtaining or renewing your passport (American citizens), you can visit travel.state.gov.
* If you have a passport, please note - your passport be valid for up to 6 months after your scheduled departure date
* It is also important that you have at least one completely blank page (with no stamps or visas) in your passport. This is a requirement for entry into many countries. If your passport is nearly full it might be a good idea to apply for additional pages.
* If you are a U.S. citizen, we recommend working with G3 Visas and Passports to make the process smooth and easy.
Make several photocopies of your passport. Leave a copy at home with your family and carry a copy with you at all times when you are overseas for identification purposes, money changing, etc. If you should lose your passport, having a copy will speed up the process of replacing it.
