We have very specific arrival and departure times for your program. Please carefully read below and call us with any questions.
Fly into and out of Juan Santamaria International Airport in San Jose, Costa Rica (airport code SJO)
Arrive on trip start date anytime before 2:00pm. We will drive together to La Fortuna (approx. 3 hour drive) once everyone has arrived.
Depart on trip end date, after 12:00pm
We encourage travelers to arrive a day before the trip start date to avoid any possible flight delays. If your flight is delayed and arrives later than 2pm, we can organize a private transfer to meet the rest of the group in La Fortuna. The cost is $160.
Early Arrival/Late Departure
Discover Corps recommends that you arrive a day prior to avoid any flight delays or cancellations. If you decide to arrive a day prior to the trip start date, you can book an early night at the hotel directly. If you arrive outside of the Discover Corps program, you are responsible for the transfer from the airport to the hotel.

The preferred hotel closest to the SJO Airport: The Adventure Inn, San Jose. This hotel offers a free airport shuttle service.
