The following list of donations are recommended for Muraleando Community Center:

For the kitchen:

  • Spices (cumin, oregano, pepper, bouillon cubes)
  • Flatware & serving utensils
  • Cooking utensils
  • Cups and plates
  • Table cloths
  • Pots and pans
  • Kitchen gloves
  • aprons
  • Sponges
  • Slip resistant shoes (crocs)
  • Food items not found in Cuba, for example peanut butter or Hazelnut spread

For Construction projects/Art projects:

  • Tool kits
  • Measure and layout tools
  • drill nails
  • dust masks
  • pottery sculpting tools
  • Acrylic paint

For the local children:

  • Any art supplies (Paint brushes & acrylic paints)
  • Musical instruments, guitar strings, reeds for wind instruments
  • Metronomes, pitch pipes, tuning forks, sheet music
  • Baseball bats, balls and gloves, footballs, sport helmets and padding
  • School supplies-notebooks, pens
  • Backpacks-okay if used
  • toys for children
  • Spanish/English dictionaries and phrase books
  • High quality summer oriented used clothing and shoes
  • New or used kids shoes (any size)
  • Sheets and towels


  • Aspirin and substitutes, Band-Aids, Multiple vitamins and vitamins A, B, C, D, E
  • Medical gloves and masks, medical thermometers
  • New USB memory sticks (favorite)
  • Cool new T-shirts, caps with neat logos, new sunglasses, hip key chains
  • AA batteries (brand name)! Boring, yes. But they are scarce, costly and appreciated
  • American chocolates
  • Attractive jewelry
