Flight Information
PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE YOUR FLIGHTS UNTIL YOUR PROGRAM HAS REACHED A MINIMUM OF 4 PARTICIPANTS. ONCE YOUR TRIP REACHES ITS MINIMUM, YOU CAN SAFELY PURCHASE FLIGHTS AND FORWARD THE FLIGHT ITINERARY TO travel@discovercorps.com.
We have very specific arrival and departure times for your program. Please carefully read the below and call us with any questions.
TWO airport choices:
Airport Choice One:
Fly into Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic Gregorio Luperón International Airport (Airport code POP). This airport is a 30-minute drive to the accommodations.
Arrive any time on the day your program begins (ideally in time for the welcome dinner)
Depart any time on the day your program ends
Airport Choice Two:
Fly into Santiago, Dominican Republic (Airport code STI). This airport is a two-hour drive to our home base.
Arrive in Santiago between 1-4 pm local time. *The shuttle will depart the airport at 4 pm, flights arriving earlier will wait until 4 pm to depart for the home base.
Depart from Santiago between 1-4 pm local time. *The shuttle will depart from the home base at 9 am, arriving at the airport at approximately 11 am.
Early Arrival/Late Departure
Discover Corps recommends that you arrive a day prior to avoid any flight delays or cancellations. If you decide to arrive a day prior to the trip start date, you can book an early night at the hotel directly. If you arrive outside of the Discover Corps program, you are responsible for the transfer from the airport to the hotel. This is where we'll be staying for the duration of the trip. We can request that you be in the same room but we cannot guarantee it.

This hotel is located about a 40-min drive from the Puerto Plata airport and the hotel can arrange airport transfers. Please contact them directly.
