Currency & Tipping Guidelines
Currency
In Australia, the Australian dollar is the official currency, being 1 USD is approximately 1.56AUD. As in most destinations, we recommend that travelers pull local currency out of the ATM upon arrival. You can know your exchange rate beforehand by visiting xe.com.
***Please note that there are 4 dinners not included on the itinerary. On those occasions, you will be right in the middle of lots of restaurants and that's a great opportunity for you to explore the Australian food on your own and enjoy local restaurants. If you would like, ask the guide for recommendations.
Tipping
While you won't have to worry about tipping throughout the trip at meals, etc., we do encourage tips for our guides and drivers. We recommend a range below, and this is per traveler. Feel free to allocate this and give at the end of the trip; no need to tip them at the end of each day.
Guide - $6-10 AUD per day
Driver - $3-4 AUD per day
