Money

The Mexican peso is the currency of Mexico. Oaxaca now accepts credit cards pretty much everywhere. We recommend getting some pesos at the ATM for souvenirs, in case some small local store does not accept cards. ATMs in the town are completely safe.

Tipping

While you won't have to worry about tipping throughout the trip at meals, etc., we do encourage tips for our guides and drivers. We recommend a range below, and this is per traveler. Feel free to allocate this and give it at the end of the trip; no need to tip them at the end of each day. Tipping in US Dollars or Pesos is fine.
