Visa & Travel Documents

  1. How do I obtain my Visa?

There is a visa requirement for Egypt and Discover Corps will handle these arrangements. You will receive the visa by hand upon arrival to Cairo.

  1. What other Travel Documents are needed for this trip?

A. Valid Passport

  • If you do not have a passport it is important to apply for one as soon as possible. It often takes four to six weeks to process the paperwork for a passport (and even longer during the peak travel season of March to August). For questions about obtaining or renewing your passport (American citizens) you can click here.

  • If you have a passport, please note it needs to be valid for up to 6 months after your scheduled departure date.

  • It is also important that you have at least one completely blank page (with no stamps or visas) in your passport. This is a requirement for entry into many countries. If your passport is nearly full it might be a good idea to apply for additional pages.

  • *Note: Make several photocopies of your passport. Leave a copy at home with your family and carry a copy with you at all times when you are overseas. If you should lose your passport, having a copy will speed up the process of replacing it.

B. Dropbox Sign Waiver

  • Once you have signed up for the trip, you will be emailed a waiver/license for travel to Egypt with us. Please fill it out as soon as possible.

C. Negative COVID-19 Test

  • Per Discover Corps' Health & Safety Protocol, we require that all travelers provide proof of a negative COVID-19 Test: It can At-Home Antigen Test (24 hours before travel).

  • *Note: Email the negative test results to discover corps, travel@discovercorps.com

*Note: We highly recommend always double checking with your airlines for their specific boarding requirements.
