Travel Insurance

Galápagos: Family Volunteer Vacation> ‎

  • We highly recommend that our travelers purchase travel insurance to help protect their investment. While Secondary Medical & Evacuation insurance is included in the trip price, we encourage additional coverage that can included benefits such as trip cancelation, trip interruption, lost baggage, flight delays, and more. Click here to learn about travel insurance with our preferred Travel Insurance Provider, Arch RoamRight. Note that plans should be purchased within 21 days of booking a Discover Corps trip in order to be eligible for certain benefits. Click on the following link to get a quote from Arch RoamRight. For quotes on additional plans or to discuss the options available, feel free to call Toll-Free 1-866-891-6614.

Covid-19 Coverage:

  • We recommend that you fully understand what travel insurance coverage entails in the event that your Discover Corps trip is interrupted due to Covid-19 in any capacity. Please note, travel insurance will not cover any cancelations due to "fear of Coronavirus."

Medical Insurance:

  • Discover Corps includes secondary medical insurance in your Discover Corps trip through Cultural Insurance Services International (CISI). Coverage includes up to $50,000 in medical & evacuation insurance.

  • Covid-19 related sickness is fully covered and only valid when the member is outside of their home country. In the event that a member is infected with the virus while on the Discover Corps trip, testing, medication, doctor visits/hospitalization is fully covered under the policy. If deemed medically necessary, medical evacuation will also apply. COVID-19 testing is only covered if the member is sick or showing symptoms. It is not covered for preventative measures. For additional information on how you will be covered under the CISI Medical Insurance, please follow this link here.

*CISI is offering more information on how you can "upgrade" medical coverage to Cancel for Any Reason, Interruptions for Any Reason, (CFAR/IFAR). To learn more, visit here.
