Costa Rica Colones - Please plan to pull Costa Rican Colones from the ATM machine upon arrival. Most businesses accept USD and credit/ debit card, but only Costa Rican Colones are accepted at smaller shops and markets. Remember to notify your banks that you are traveling so you are able to use your credit/debit card.

Tipping Guildelines

While you won't have to worry about tipping throughout the trip at meals, etc., we do encourage tips for our guides and drivers. We recommend a range below, and this is per traveler. Feel free to allocate this and give at the end of the trip; no need to tip them at the end of each day.
