There are NO required vaccinations or shots for travel to South Africa; however, you should consult your doctor to assure that all of your immunizations are up-to-date.

Regarding malaria in South Africa, there is known to be malaria in the region. However, the risk is considered low. We recommend that you consult with your local travel clinic for recommended inoculations and whether or not to take malaria prophylaxis for travel to South Africa.
