Accommodations: We work with a portfolio of premier lodges ranging from luxury style tents (think glamping) to safari lodges. The tents will not have air conditioning or heating. There will be fans or hot water bottles/extra blankets provided based on seasonality.
Seasons: South Africa seasons are the opposite of the Northern hemisphere. During our summer, it is winter in South Africa and vice versa. Please keep this in mind when choosing your desired dates of travel.
Early Mornings: All morning game drives start at 5:30am and there are game drives most mornings. Early mornings are the best time to encounter the animals. Game viewing is a lot better when you do it consecutively to track the animals so the drives are staggered on back to back days. You are not required to attend all game drives but they are included in the price.
Vehicle Time: Due to the location of the safari and the game drives, you will spend a lot of time in vehicles. The first day of the trip there is a very long drive from the airport to greater Krueger where you will be staying. We highly suggest arriving a day early so that you are able to get a good nights rest before the drive. The safari vehicles will be open air for your viewing convenience.
