Jamaica is a tropical climate with warm weather year round! 

Negril has both dry and rainy seasons, with most precipitation falling in short, heavy bursts. The wet season is usually from June to November, and the dry season is from July to October. January is the coolest month, with an average temperature of 75°F, and it also has the least rainfall. July is the hottest month, with an average maximum temperature of 86°F. 

Always be prepared for hot days and possible rain!

Suggested Packing List:

Must - Haves:

• •   One refillable water bottle

  •   Passport

  •  Small day pack

Clothing:

• 2 swimsuits

• Comfortable walking shoes

• Beach shoes (sandals, flip flops, crocs)

• Light-weight walking pants and/or shorts

• T-shirts or similar

• Pajamas

• Windbreaker/rain jacket

• Sun shirts

• Socks and underwear

• Casual but neat clothes for dinners

Bath / Personal: Shampoo, Conditioner and Body Soap are provided by the hotel

• •   Personal medication (if prescription, pack in carry-on luggage)

  •   Prescription or over the counter sea sickness pills or patch, if applicable (Dramamine or Bonine)

  •   Personal toiletries

  •   Coral-friendly sunblock for skin and lips

Other:

• •  Portable charger for long days away from the hotel

  • Beach towel

  • Goggles if desired for swimming

  • Sunglasses

  • Insect repellent

  • Sun hat
