Weather
You will encounter temperatures ranging from 30°C (86°F) in Santiago to 5°C (41°F) with intense wind chills in Torres del Paine. Patagonia can be extremely windy and the weather can change rapidly.

You will spend a lot of time outdoors, in vehicles and planes, comfort and layering are key!
Patagonia Essentials (Torres del Paine & Glaciers)
The Southern Patagonian Ice Field and Grey Glacier create their own microclimates. High winds are common.
Outer Shell: A high-quality, fully waterproof and windproof jacket with a hood.
Mid-Layers: A fleece jacket or a lightweight down "puffy" jacket.
Base Layers: Moisture-wicking T-shirts (synthetic or merino wool); avoid cotton, which stays cold when wet.
Bottoms: Quick-dry/water resistant pants
Accessories: * Warm hat (beanie) and light gloves
Buff or neck gaiter for wind and sun protection.
Supportive sneakers or hiking boots
Santiago & Wine Country (Central Chile)
Days 1 and 2 involve city tours, cooking classes, and vineyard visits.
Breathable Clothing: Lightweight linen or cotton shirts, sundresses, and shorts for daytime heat.
Smart-Casual Attire: For the high-end restaurants in Santiago.
Footwear: Comfortable walking shoes or stylish sneakers for city exploration.
Technical & Personal Gear
Daypack: For carrying water, snacks, and layers.
Sun Protection: Polarized sunglasses with a strap (the Patagonian wind will try to steal them).
Power: Universal Power Adapter (Chile uses Types C and L; 220V).

Optional Extension: Easter Island (Rapa Nui)
The island is subtropical and humid.
Tropical Wear: Swimsuit for the pink sands of Anakena Beach.
Sun Shield: A hat and high-SPF sunscreen, the UV index here is extremely high.
Rain Shell: Light, breathable rain jacket for quick subtropical showers.
