PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE YOUR FLIGHTS UNTIL YOUR PROGRAM HAS REACHED A MINIMUM OF 5 PARTICIPANTS. ONCE YOUR TRIP REACHES ITS MINIMUM, PLEASE INPUT YOUR ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE FLIGHTS INTO THIS FORM.


We have very specific arrival and departure times for your program. Please carefully read below and call us with any questions.

Fly into and out of Durban King Shaka Int’l Airport (airport code: DUR):

  • You can arrive on the first day at anytime.
  • You can depart on the last day of the trip after 2 pm.
  • If you aren’t sure your flights meet the criteria above, please contact Discover Corps

For those doing the Cape Town Extension:

  • Fly into Durban King Shaka Int’l Airport (airport code: DUR) anytime on the first day of the trip
  • Fly out of Cape Town International Airport (CPT) anytime on the last day of the extension (note that the trip ends after breakfast on the last day of the extension)
  • Discover Corps will book your domestic flight from Durban (DUR) to Cape Town (CPT) which will depart for Cape Town after 2:00pm on the last day of the main trip
  • For the extension's domestic flight, checked baggage is limited to 20 kg per person, and no single item may weigh more than 32 kg. Infants have a 10 kg baggage allowance but have no seat allocation. Pets and bicycles are NOT included in the checked baggage allowance of 20 kg per paying Guest. Excess baggage charges will be raised irrespective of the weight of any other checked baggage. Carry-on baggage may not exceed 7 kg and 115 cm (56 cm + 36 cm + 23 cm) in size.

*Note: Many travelers arrive the day prior to the start date in Durban (to acclimatize, etc.). If you choose to arrive early, we can organize a meeting time/point on the first day of the trip in the Durban Airport.

*For Families: The Department of Home Affairs in South Africa requires all passengers under 18 to travel with an Unabridged Birth Certificate. All minors under the age of 18 years are required to produce, in addition to their passport, an Unabridged Birth Certificate (showing the particulars of both parents) when exiting and entering South African ports of entry.
